The time right before Christmas can be hard for me for blogging.  So much of what I am working on (read: everything) are gifts or gift related, so I really can't talk about them on here or I'll spoil the surprise.  And everyone deserves a surprise or two on Christmas.  In case you are wondering, no I haven't finished my Christmas shopping or my Christmas knitting.  Not even close.  The 3 December shows distracted me a bit, but thats ok.  I may spend all day Christmas eve trying to catch up, but thats ok too. At least under our tree is starting to fill up.  Last night I wrapped my angel gifts and then started in on some more of the family presents.  The make:Tulsa Christmas party and Erin's blog inspired me to strive to have the prettiest packages at both family Christmases this year.  Not a single package has been left unembellished.  It makes for a mighty pretty pile of presents to look at under the twinkling tree. Yesterday was A make:Christmas at Ida Red and I had a fantastic time.  I got to hang out with friends and chat with friendly people and even sell some stuff that I hope will be opened with joy on christmas morning.  :-) Bridgette and I shared a booth like we usually do.  I Christmased it up a bit for this show.  I had ornaments I was selling on my little tree and three cowboy snowmen up for grabs.  (I still have the cowboy snowmen, so message me if you want one.  I had them marked at $30, but I am willing to do $20 + shipping) We were set up between the lovely Erin of Sunshine and Carousels and Nikki of Gleeful Peacock Also around were GreenerMe Weather and Noise Hollyrocks Sherri Lee Sheezkrafty We had lots of shoppers most of the day.  It was a great vibe all around and I am so glad Ida Red invited us to do it.  I hope they invite us back again. a hair flower from Sunshine and Carousels in the mail! Ok, also I just really love getting non-bill mail.  Feel free to write to me, anytime. And if you need your own Sunshine and Carousels hair flower (mine is off white with a pearl in the center) you should come tomorrow to the Ida Red show!  My goal for this show is going to be to not spend more than I make, but that could be difficult because I love all the other vendors. Perhaps tonight I will actually post an update with some knitting in it.  I have at least one new guy hat for tomorrow, hoping to get another one done.

I am sooooo excited for this weekend! I haven't had as much time to prep as I would have liked, but I have been having a fun week, so thats ok. Tonight and tomorrow night I will be working non-stop to create new inventory, get organized and bake my share of the goodies for this show. Go here and check out who all will be there. Many of my favorite Tulsa makers will have tables at this event, its a perfect place to come do last minute shopping. And you can come buy me hair dooies from Sunshine and Carousels or Gleeful Peacock . Either one. Any style. It will help feed my current hair dooey obsession. I could use more to go with brown. I have very few hair dooies that go well with brown. Just sayin'. So come out and see us and sample our snacks and have some cider and finish your shopping!!

I have been so lazy about getting all the pictures off my camera that this update is a bit late. First off, I spent most of last week figuring out then making ornaments. Many of them were for a christmas party with an ornament exchange, but the rest of them will be for sale Saturday at A Make:Christmas at Ida Red! I hung them all on my little tree in my craft room for now. Each little hand knit ornament was lovingly and carefully made by me (I ended up with a whole lot of hot glue on me). I hope other people love them as much as I do. Next up I spent quite some time dipping pretzels for the same Christmas party that had the ornament exchange. Usually I dip them all the way, sacrificing my finger tips in the process, but this year I decided to 2/3 - 3/4 dip them all and leave a part plain, thereby saving my poor little finger. :-) I sprinkle green and red decorating sugar on some of them for presentation, but really I prefer the ones without the extra sugar. I love wrapping. I like to try and make big elaborate bows. And I am clumsy at it sometimes. I also like each package to look unique and I often run out of ideas before I am done. But this year I am inspired! I had some great help on sunday at the make:Tulsa Christmas party getting started. I wrapped and Erin of Sunshine and Carousels made toppers and bows for me. And now I am home and ready to tackle some more myself. But wait! She is still helping me. See, this year she is writing a Ribbons and Bows series on her blog, so if you are looking for DIY wrapping that looks almost too amazing to want to open, go and check out part 1 here and part 2 here . The second post especially made me want to drop everything and go wrap some more presents. Eventually I will post some pics of the ones I had help with and the ones I do myself.
