Guest Post

Ok, it has taken me a while to get around to posting this.  Again.  But you can find me guest blogging here at The Cloth Diaper Whisperer.

I decided that one of the best ways to get out that urge to gush incessantly about my love for cloth diapers would be to guest blog about it.  That way it doesn't totally take over this blog.  I'll be sure to mention it here when I do though, even if it is a little late.

Back in the world of Knitting, my handspun cowl is done except for blocking!  It only took me 3 weeks to bind off!!  Oh well.  So, blocking and pictures, coming soon!!

I did so love Flips. However, my Flips all finally bit the dust from overuse after 18 months, so we're using disposables until she's potty trained. I just can't see investing in all those covers and inserts again. It's actually a relief not to have to do diaper laundry every other night. I'm slowly becoming a very uncrunchy mom. Oh well. But my Flips were wonderful while they lasted!

Even your inserts bit the dust? I can see the covers wearing out over time, but its hard to picture the inserts just dying. How many of each did you keep in rotation

GIVEAWAY!!!

As many of you know, I love working with hand dyed yarn.  I especially love Farm Girl Fiber yarn!  Bridgette has an eye for color and has a lot of fun with what she does.  That is why I am so super thrilled that Farm Girl Fiber is sponsoring this giveaway in honor of my opening an etsy shop!   Before the goods, a recap:  I made this Acorn Head hooded cowl for myself on Christmas this year.  I've known pretty much since I bought the yarn exactly what it was going to be, I just had to find time to do it.  This cowl was out of my FGF birthday yarn!  You can't tell in the picture, but it has just this hind of sparkle to it.  Love! I made 2 of these for two different swaps and I really wish I had made and kept one for myself while she still had the yarn!  It was so super soft and super bulky and fantastic!  Sometimes Farm Girl Fiber has very limited lots of things, so if you find something you love, you really need to snatch it up. ...
