I promise to tell you all about San Diego

But for right now, just let me mention that it is hot and humid here in Tulsa and I am still tired.  The conference I was at for work was great and so was the wedding in Kansas City on Sunday (congrats, Matt & Alli).  But since I have yet to get any of the pictures off of my camera I am going to hold off on the major updating.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend (we spent ours out at the lake) and a good last week (that would be while I was in San Diego) and a good weekend (Kansas City).  Can you tell I am ready to slow down for a few days?

I definitely did get some travel knitting done, so I need to photograph that.  One piece I am working on is a bamboo and silk summer weight lacy cowl that I think will feel nice and cool against my skin.  Yep, I am actually making something for me!  Wow.  Even before I started my knitting business I was usually knitting for other people and only occasionally for myself, now its even less.  I still want to find a way to strike a good balance.

Before I forget, let me also mention that this coming Saturday, June 11th, is Shakedown in T-town.  The handmade market place will be open from Noon to 7pm at 6th and Peoria.  More details here.  You should come out and see me if you are in the area!

GIVEAWAY!!!

As many of you know, I love working with hand dyed yarn.  I especially love Farm Girl Fiber yarn!  Bridgette has an eye for color and has a lot of fun with what she does.  That is why I am so super thrilled that Farm Girl Fiber is sponsoring this giveaway in honor of my opening an etsy shop!   Before the goods, a recap:  I made this Acorn Head hooded cowl for myself on Christmas this year.  I've known pretty much since I bought the yarn exactly what it was going to be, I just had to find time to do it.  This cowl was out of my FGF birthday yarn!  You can't tell in the picture, but it has just this hind of sparkle to it.  Love! I made 2 of these for two different swaps and I really wish I had made and kept one for myself while she still had the yarn!  It was so super soft and super bulky and fantastic!  Sometimes Farm Girl Fiber has very limited lots of things, so if you find something you love, you really need to snatch it up. ...
