Time passes so quickly now

I am still not as good at time management as I would like to be but I am working on it.  I have cut down on TV so much.  I don't turn it on until after she is asleep and some nights not at all.  I don't want her getting all TV obsessed.

I did another guest post for The Cloth Diaper Whisperer.  It all about pimping out my cloth diapers.  I am obsessed, I tell ya.

Speaking of obsessed, I am obsessed with Rumpkinz diapers.  Soooo cute!  I really, really NEED a Minion diaper.  I have 2 of her diapers so far, a Kermit the Frog face diaper and a Thing 1 Thing 2 diaper.   I really like them and they have hemp inserts.  Since I like them so much I am going to be hosting a co-op to order some at discounted prices (yay!) so hit me up if you might be interested.  We will have to get together at least the minimum order to qualify for co-op prices.

Well, I will leave you with some phone pics of Baby Girl from Easter.  I know, I am really behind on that kind of thing.  But you'll be happy to know I have been pretty good about keeping the baby book up to date.

This bathing cap has an adorable matching old fashioned looking tiny swimsuit.  She will be the belle of the pool.
This hat has a cute matching dress, all from H&M.  Its fun and adorable.
This little chair was my dad's contribution to Evelyn's Easter basket.  Since her nursery is frog themed, its totally perfect.  And look what a good job she did of sitting up momentarily at just barely over 3 months!

We do take a picture of her every single day, so it can be kind of overwhelming to go through all of the pictures.  I need to get on top of organizing all of those.

Speaking of pictures, I am working on become more at ease with our large DSLR.  I have been reading up on stuff, but if you have books, websites, or blog post recommendations that I should check out as I work on that, let me know.  I have been practicing but I am not at all ready to show my practice shots to anyone.  :-P

uh-oh, she just woke up....

GIVEAWAY!!!

As many of you know, I love working with hand dyed yarn.  I especially love Farm Girl Fiber yarn!  Bridgette has an eye for color and has a lot of fun with what she does.  That is why I am so super thrilled that Farm Girl Fiber is sponsoring this giveaway in honor of my opening an etsy shop!   Before the goods, a recap:  I made this Acorn Head hooded cowl for myself on Christmas this year.  I've known pretty much since I bought the yarn exactly what it was going to be, I just had to find time to do it.  This cowl was out of my FGF birthday yarn!  You can't tell in the picture, but it has just this hind of sparkle to it.  Love! I made 2 of these for two different swaps and I really wish I had made and kept one for myself while she still had the yarn!  It was so super soft and super bulky and fantastic!  Sometimes Farm Girl Fiber has very limited lots of things, so if you find something you love, you really need to snatch it up. ...

Ridiculously Easy 3x3 hat

So I was on my way out the door to the St. Louis Cardinals game a couple nights ago when I realized I didn't have any purse size knitting on hand. I grabbed a ball of bernat chunky and a pair of size 10 16" circs out of my travel bag and stuffed them into my purse to contemplate at the game. I wanted something so super easy that by the time the game started I wouldn't have to think about it. I feel almost silly sharing this pattern, but I figured why not. So here is the hat: I don't really intend to turn up the edge to make a brim, but my model had trouble keeping it on otherwise. Its really stretchy and should fit almost any adult head. Its long enough to cover your ears, so if you really want a brim, go ahead and flip up the edge. Ok, here goes the pattern: Ridiculously Easy 3x3 Hat Yarn: I used Bernat Chunky Needles: Size 10 16" Circs or preferred method of knitting in the round CO 60 stitches and join for knitting in the round. Work in 3x3 rib for 7 inche...

Production Day & Giveaway!

There is less than a week until the Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza. Even though my stitch markers didn't move well at Indie Emporium, I have high hopes for them this coming weekend. This audience will be completely different, for starters. This time it is a fiber specific event and the people who are coming should actually know what they are! Despite not being very down in inventory, I decided to have a production day to add variety to my stock. It started out as me thinking, oh I'll just make a few today while I have some time. Then I got going and decided I was having fun, so why not have some Chai and make some more. Riley helped by pushing me off the sofa more than once. Ripley did too, but I didn't catch a picture of him doing it. By mid afternoon I had opened new beads, fixed myself a tray of grapes and cheese, finished off the chai and was grooving at a pretty good pace. By the time I needed to get up and get going for my evening plans I had made 15 new sets,...
