My Babies

The other night Ben asked me how many puppy pictures do I really need.  Really?  A million!  My babies are so cute!!  They won't be around forever and I want to remember every little moment of adorable.

In no particular order:
Ok, so Riley wasn't thrilled to be on that motorcycle, but he wasn't up there more than a few seconds.
 He has so many expressions, i just want to capture them all.  (Riley is a pug chihuahua mix, in case you were wondering)
 Angry Face.  He makes angry face at any attempt to put clothing on him.  It's pretty cute but we always end up feeling sorry for him and taking it back off.  In this one he has on a halloween t-shirt.
 As I was moving furniture he decided to camp out in a drawer.  I too half a dozen pictures of him doing that because it was just too cute.
 Little Ripley the day we brought him home.  So many memories of that time.  He was so shy and I felt so sorry for him. (both puppies are humane society rescues)  He was so skinny too.  Riley just wanted to play with him and Ripley didn't really know what to do.  I spent a lot of time cuddling him that week, just trying to convince him that he was in a safe place and would be loved.  (I was also really sick and running a very high fever.  Timing.)
 Ripley in his natural habitat.  He sleeps so much more than Riley does.  I'm not sure how one can sleep that much.
 He does love to lay in the dirt too.  In this one you can tell that he gained a little weight and his little personality has started to show through the shyness.
Since I posted one of the day we brought Ripley home, I thought I would post a baby picture of Riley too.  He only weighed 4 pounds when I brought him home and he could lay down on my forearm.  They told me he wouldn't get much bigger, but now he's 14 pounds.  Hmm.  Oh well, he's still cute!

I love my babies so much, I could never have too many pictures of them!!  I hope I haven't bored you with excessive puppy pictures. (I will call them puppies even when they are old)  A lot of times my favorite pictures on other people's blogs are when they show their fur-babies.

The one of Ripley in the dirt pile is so cute :) Looks so content there! Oh, you know I have WAY too many pictures of my fuzzbuckets! They are our babies!!

Briana, I love looking at the pictures of your fuzzies! We can't have cats because I am allergic, but I think they are beautiful (from a safe distance).

Keep 'em comin sista! I have an excessive amount of kitties and never stop taking pictures of them. They are just so sweet looking and the moment must be captured for-ev-er!

Ridiculously Easy 3x3 hat

So I was on my way out the door to the St. Louis Cardinals game a couple nights ago when I realized I didn't have any purse size knitting on hand. I grabbed a ball of bernat chunky and a pair of size 10 16" circs out of my travel bag and stuffed them into my purse to contemplate at the game. I wanted something so super easy that by the time the game started I wouldn't have to think about it. I feel almost silly sharing this pattern, but I figured why not. So here is the hat: I don't really intend to turn up the edge to make a brim, but my model had trouble keeping it on otherwise. Its really stretchy and should fit almost any adult head. Its long enough to cover your ears, so if you really want a brim, go ahead and flip up the edge. Ok, here goes the pattern: Ridiculously Easy 3x3 Hat Yarn: I used Bernat Chunky Needles: Size 10 16" Circs or preferred method of knitting in the round CO 60 stitches and join for knitting in the round. Production Day & Giveaway!

There is less than a week until the Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza. Even though my stitch markers didn't move well at Indie Emporium, I have high hopes for them this coming weekend. This audience will be completely different, for starters. This time it is a fiber specific event and the people who are coming should actually know what they are! Despite not being very down in inventory, I decided to have a production day to add variety to my stock. It started out as me thinking, oh I'll just make a few today while I have some time. Then I got going and decided I was having fun, so why not have some Chai and make some more. Riley helped by pushing me off the sofa more than once. Ripley did too, but I didn't catch a picture of him doing it. By mid afternoon I had opened new beads, fixed myself a tray of grapes and cheese, finished off the chai and was grooving at a pretty good pace.
