So, Who's Coming to Dinner?

I decided to make Buffalo Chip Cookies today.  These are everything-but-the-kitchen-sink type cookies.
They have the regular cookie stuff in them, like butter, sugar, flour, eggs, etc.  But they also contain massive amounts of other stuff.  Stuff like 3 cups of cereal and 2 cups each of raisins, chocolate chips, nuts, oatmeal, coconut, etc.  And they are crazy good.

The recipe makes so much that it won't stay contained in my kitchen-aid mixer. And its not the little tilt top mixer, its the good old bowl-lift bigger sized kitchen-aid (but not the super huge giant one my mum just got.  That thing is nuts).  Anyhow, this recipe make makes approximately 18 dozen cookies, so we have cookies everywhere now.

Yum.

At the same time the cookies were baking I made a huge pot of vegetarian chili.

Beans can be so pretty when they are cooking.  :-)
And I don't know if I have ever mentioned this before, but Le Creuset is the BEST cookware ever.  Enameled cast iron rocks my world.  I hardly every use anything else for big cooking projects.  Nothing sticks, everything cooks evenly, it makes me so happy!

Mmmm, veggies in the slow cooker.
So, if you stop by for dinner tonight, this is what I'm serving.

I think I'm hungry now.

GIVEAWAY!!!

As many of you know, I love working with hand dyed yarn.  I especially love Farm Girl Fiber yarn!  Bridgette has an eye for color and has a lot of fun with what she does.  That is why I am so super thrilled that Farm Girl Fiber is sponsoring this giveaway in honor of my opening an etsy shop!   Before the goods, a recap:  I made this Acorn Head hooded cowl for myself on Christmas this year.  I've known pretty much since I bought the yarn exactly what it was going to be, I just had to find time to do it.  This cowl was out of my FGF birthday yarn!  You can't tell in the picture, but it has just this hind of sparkle to it.  Love! I made 2 of these for two different swaps and I really wish I had made and kept one for myself while she still had the yarn!  It was so super soft and super bulky and fantastic!  Sometimes Farm Girl Fiber has very limited lots of things, so if you find something you love, you really need to snatch it up. ...
