Snow Pics

Here are a few of the pictures I was too tired/lazy to upload last night.
Ben built a barricade across the porch so that the drifts would form against it and not get as much on the patio.  The dogs don't really like the show, so they appreciated this.
It was actually fairly effective and meant he didn't have to shovel quite as much as he would have had to.
On the other side of the barricade the snow is practically smooth across the rest of the backyard.  If you think about it, you realize that the snow is THIGH DEEP for me all the way across the backyard.  With temps not getting above freezing for a while, I think we won't see the backyard for quite some time.
The dogs seem to have finally figured out that the white stuff isn't going away as fast as it usually does and they will be forced to brave the cold to potty.  Ben did dig them out a little patch of grass, as the do seem to prefer not to go on the porch.

Well, its back to work for me today.  Time to finish getting ready, eat a big hot breakfast and pack up some knitting for the ride in.  Brrrr.  I wish I didn't have to go out in it.  I haven't been farther out yet than a foot out the backdoor.  I did offer to come out and help Ben, but he kindly let me stay bundled up inside. (Because he is the best husband ever)

**Special: In honor of all my knitting time during the blizzard, order before the snow thaws and get 10% off your entire order.  Use code BLIZZ211 in the etsy shop when checking out.**

I'm surprised you have to work today. Be safe!

We only have a rinky dink, plastic snow shovel. AND we live on a bit of a slope. Looks like we'll be staying here for a while!
Oh man, that is way too much snow for me. So tired of it!

GIVEAWAY!!!

As many of you know, I love working with hand dyed yarn.  I especially love Farm Girl Fiber yarn!  Bridgette has an eye for color and has a lot of fun with what she does.  That is why I am so super thrilled that Farm Girl Fiber is sponsoring this giveaway in honor of my opening an etsy shop!   Before the goods, a recap:  I made this Acorn Head hooded cowl for myself on Christmas this year.  I've known pretty much since I bought the yarn exactly what it was going to be, I just had to find time to do it.  This cowl was out of my FGF birthday yarn!  You can't tell in the picture, but it has just this hind of sparkle to it.  Love! I made 2 of these for two different swaps and I really wish I had made and kept one for myself while she still had the yarn!  It was so super soft and super bulky and fantastic!  Sometimes Farm Girl Fiber has very limited lots of things, so if you find something you love, you really need to snatch it up. ...

Which Would You Pick??
